AUTHOR INSTRUCTIONS 

TOPICS 

We invite research papers, panel session proposals, and field studies that can inform theory and provide guidelines to field workers in developing economies. Application areas of interest include but are not limited to:

  1. Social, political and legal frameworks for fostering ICT diffusion in developing regions
  2. Networks and computer applications for eGovernment and eBusiness
  3. Methods for measuring the benefits and costs of projects involving the adoption of ICT
  4. The role of human and social capital in effective access and use of ICTs
  5. Critical and theoretical perspectives on the digital divide and social inclusion
  6. Scalable and economic ICT infrastructures
  7. Educational systems; content provision and delivery; developing ICT skills
  8. Policies related to intellectual capital; open access and the intellectual commons
  9. ICT to support Small and Medium Enterprise (SME)
  10. Technological entrepreneurship as a path to prosperity

WORKSHOP PROCEEDINGS 

Accepted papers will be published on the SIG GlobDev Web site and also in the AIS Electronic Library - ISBN: 978-0-9826068-2-7


 FAST-TRACKING TO JOURNALS 

Authors of selected workshop papers will be invited to submit their papers for possible inclusion in a special issue of Information Technology for Development (ITD).

ORIGINAL SUBMISSION (SEPTEMBER 26 DEADLINE) 

Submitted papers should be limited to 7,000 words or approximately 25 pages in length.

The format should be 8.5" by 11" pages with 1½ line-spacing, Times New Roman 12-point font, and 1" margins on all sides (including tables, figures, and references). All submissions will be reviewed double blind. Author names and affiliations should be excluded from the original paper submissions. A separate cover page containing the authors' names and affiliations should be submitted together with the paper.

CAMERA READY VERSION (NOVEMBER 22 DEADLINE) 

Authors are expected to consider the suggestions and comments made by the reviewers when preparing the final submission. The camera-ready copy of the accepted paper using the SIG GlobDev paper template should be submitted in either .pdf or Word format. Please do not include page numbers in your document. The page numbering will be done during the compilation of the proceedings.

Failure to comply with these requirements will result in your paper not being included in the Proceedings.
